The situation has been exasabated even further by the fact that men in their 30's tend to date women in their 20's which is leaving a hole in the women available for younger men. Luckily it seems they are more than happpy to look towards the women in their 30's and 40's
A local commentator said that this decade has seen an increase in the number of women who are educated, motivated, doing well in their life and have the drive to look for something different rather than be stuck in a loveless marriage.
It also seems that younger partners and toyboys are interesting for older women because of a shortage of eligable men in their own age bracket. There has also been a big increase in so-called cougar dating events in Australia.
