With so many older women dating younger men at the moment you would have thought that most people wouldnt so much as flinch when they see a couple with an age gap out on a date together..
We heard from one of the many older women who date younger men in an email last week and it certainly made interesting reading. Her name is Liz, she is 49 and her boyfriend is 28. She told us that despite the fact they are very happy together and are very much in love, many of their friends and family dont accept their relationship. This is even though Liz's little girl who is 14 loves her mums new partner.
The problem Liz feels is that people often beleive that their partnerships are about money or their sex lives. Well they couldn't be further from the truth of course.
People who are not so suspicious would know that women over 40 are looking for something real and are often a million miles from the stereotypes that persist in peoples imaginations. Lets hope that people can start to be more sensitive to people in Liz's position as she is entitled to enjoy her relationship and one things for sure - toyboys are here to stay.
