Fresh after calls from Cougar Towns creator hinting at plans to change the name of the hit show, none other than Courteney Cox has come out to say that she would also like to change the name.
The thinking was that using the term cougar made the show appear to brash and although it is all about an older woman dating toyboys, the show itself is hoping to appeal to quite a mainstream audience.
Also by focussing the name purely on women its also thought that it is misleading in that it appears to only be aimed at women. In fact Courteny says, the show should be accessibly to both sexes. Courteny is famously married to her own toyboy David Arquette and they have been together for a long time.
We would certainly have thought that toyboys have an interest in watching a show about dating older women. However her co-star Busy Philipps has also said an alternative view that she likes the name and would not like to see it changed
